The Parenting Apart Programme (PAP) is an Early Intervention to reduce parental conflict. The service is offered throughout the legal system and public sector, which can significantly improve outcomes for both adults and children. The intervention is strengths-based, child development and attachment focused, semi-structured approach designed to support parents in the midst of conflict, separation and divorce. PAP is designed to support parents to refocus on the needs of their children and work towards more positive communications and joint working. PAP aims to strengthen parents’ ability to problem solve and make decisions in the best interests of their children.
